EMPOWERMENT OF COMMUNITIES
PETSD believes that grass root people in the communities should be empowered in all aspects in which they can generate income to alleviate poverty and to manage their resources in a sustainable way.

PARTICIPATORY APPROACHES
PETSD will carry out development activities which address the needs, interests and priorities of the communities which it will work with. The central part of PETSD work is community participation in that people are believed to be capable of tracking solutions to their needs and determine their destiny.

AREA OF OPERATION
PETSD is currently operating in the Districts of Wakiso - Nsangi Sub-county and the District of Rakai in Kakuuto and Kooki counties.

ORGANIZATION SET UP
PETSD has a Board that is drawn from people of diverse backgrounds. This includes professionals working with NGOs, Private companies, individuals from the communities in the area of operation, Commercial institutions and Higher Institutions of learning
The Board Committee is responsible for the running of the organization through a secretariat that is headed by the National Programme Coordinator, Programme / Capacity Building Officers, Finance and Administration officer and support staff.
